Andrea Lodge is 8 km away from the airport, situated in the extreme South of Mauritius close to
Souillac; on black basalt cliffs, in a pure nature setting overlooking the Ocean and the Anguilles
River Gorge.

and points of interest are Le Saint Aubin, La Vanille Crocodile Park, Gris Gris and its crying rock,
Le Batelage old sugar port, Rochester Falls. Sir Robert Edward Hart Museum. Within 30 minutes of
driving you are in the mountain village
Chamarel, known for the 7 coloured earth and the highest waterfall on the island.
Chamarel
has quite a number of tourist restaurants. For real local creole food the visitor should visit Le
Barbizons Table d’hote. Marie Ange,
the woman of the house prepares fresh food obtained from the island and her garden.
Further
down the coastline, Southwest, the UNESCO World heritage site “Le Morne Mountain” is a recommended
visit.
Further up the west
coast the well known tourism village “Flic en Flac” can be part of an outing for a day on a
beautiful beach or night activities. In the opposite direction East, past the airport, the old
capital Mahebourg is worth a visit.
For those spending the day outdoors, picnic hampers can
be ordered the previous evening.
